Congratulations is in order for the Copperheads who competed at the AAU Spring Nationals. All three teammates finished on the podium!
Alec Finney faced stiff competion to finish 7th in the 125th bracket.
Patrick Dooley in a very competitive 112 lb class, wrestled his way back in the consolation bracket to finish 5th overall. Patrick also finished as the states 4th most successful middle school wrestler.
Josh Filbey was able to pin every opponent in the 180lb class to win the tournament. He was also awarded a belt from Tennessee's Top 100 for having the states best middle school record! He went undefeated and won every tournament entered this season.
Patrick and Joshua have been asked to wrestle for Team Tennessee, in the National Duals in Columbus, Ohio, and in Winston-Salem North Carolina!
